Does god belong in the doctors office?

I recently went to see a new chiropractor, and he brought up god several times during our first meeting as the one who gave us our bodies etc,etc. I don't believe religion belongs in any docs office unless he/she promotes themselves as having a business based on religion.

It turned out my sister experienced something similar in another state. She was most uncomfortable when a new doc she went to asked her to pray with him. After the second time this happened, she didn't return.

I'd like to know how others on this forum feel about this. Is this appropriate?
