2 questions about beet juicing beets

I have never juiced in my life.
(1) what kind of juicer should I buy to juice beets?
heavyduty...easy to clean?

(2) how many 3: diameter beets does it take to produce
16 ounces of beet juice?

(3) do you juice beets raw, or do you blanche them first?

I have been drinking 16.9 oz of 100% beet juice. I want to duplicate the juice used in the London study where 16.9 oz beet juice consumed in 30 minutes lowered Blood Pressure (hypertension) all day. So far it is working for me, but a bottle of pure beet juice at the health food store costs about $8.00.

At $8.00 a day...thats $240.00 a month. But a 3" raw beet costs $1.00 so it may be more expensive to juice the beets.

The juice I buy at the health food store is 100% beet...no apple...no celery...no cabbage, nothing but beets... not even water.

I appreciate all answers and discussion in advance.
thanks
LOLLY
