My personal preference? I brew six cups of water with 7 Tablespoons of coffee and split it into two back to back enemas...I retain the solution until my liver decides it's "all done coffee enema". For me the 'sounds' subside greatly after 10/12 - 20 minutes, and so that's what I go by. When I can't do 2 back-to-backs, I use 4 cups of solution with 4 slightly heaping tablespoons of coffee. Sometimes I'm not comfortable with the entire 4 cups, but that's what I start with.

Would 4 cups way pass the sigmoid colon and thus causing systemic absorption leading to the 'caffeine buzz'?
I was kinda skeptical about taking more than 2 cups if the goal is to hit the hepatic portal vein? Wouldn't 2 cups be sufficient and more than 3 cups be excessive?
If you do 3 cups or more, does the position matter anymore? Wouldn't there be sufficient liquid to hit the hepatic portal vein no matter what position you ly on? I suppose I'd have to experiment on that. It's possible that I might have a crooked/mutated/deformed colon. LOL!
