Re: Echinacea: a Miracle Herb against Aging and Cancer?
There are approximately 84 "droppersful" in a 2oz bottle, double that in a 4
oz bottle. But if you use the larger dropper in a 4
oz bottle, you come out with about 148 droppersful.
:::grin::: Having enough echinacea 'at the ready' (for us, and to give to family & friends) was one of THE biggest reasons I started making my own tinctures. Echincea is a great "hook" to get folks interested in natural health & healing!! Virtually every one has heard of it (and many have tried it with poor results). When you explain to them that:
"... a recent analysis of 59 brand name Echinacea products found that 48% did not contain any Echinacea whereas 10% had no measurable Echinacea. Less than half of the products met the labeled quality standards..." (from Sloan Kettering - I'd post the link but the rest of the info is total bunk, and I don't want to confuse anyone).
And then they say, "but all the scientific studies I've read say that Echinacea only has a placebo effect" - and you hit them with this:

(Flawed Echinacea Studies)...and give them some to try the next time they feel the sniffles coming on - you'll DEFINITELY have yourself a convert! (yay!)
In the very near future I will posting an:
*!* Echinacea Bomb *!* post. (I've just posted part of it) Echinacea is a very misunderstood & under-utilized herb, and it's benefits are phenomenal.
Also, in August, you can get FRESH Echinacea root (organic of course) from Pacific Botanicals. I'll be posting a reminder then...and of course, soon we'll be talking about tincturing (yay! again)
Gotta fly - here's to our health (naturally!) -
