Maybe I'm missing something but it looks to me like all they agreed upon was to give the Aborigines "some access" to land that was once there for "ceremonial and cultural activities such as hunting, camping and gathering bush tucker" and "some say" in how it is developed in the future.  I can see how that is better than shutting them out entirely but I do not see where a single acre actually reverts back to their original ownership or control.

I'd say it looks like the natives got royally fooked by the monied interests.  In that, America would indeed share in such an experience.
