Hey, guess what I just learned about juicing?
I was listening to some old stuff by David Wolfe. He's like the raw food guru god, and I'm educating myself about the raw vegan lifestyle. OK, I found out, that when you are learning to heal yourself, and you're moving away from, you know, "ketchup and pickle relish counts as a vegetable" to living, raw, vibrant, awakened fruits and vegetables, you really should be taking fresh juice into your body every day, with an emphasis on vegetables. This is because we actually have to re-educate our bodies to begin digesting vegetables.
Have you ever heard somebody say they couldn't eat vegetables because veggies were too hard on their stomach? Doesn't that make sense now? I mean, if somebody is eating cheeseburgers and french fries with cokes every day, they have really built up a thick lining of mucous in their intestinal tract. So maybe these people have actually built up an aversion to raw food.
So with
juicing (at home, with a great juicer like my old faithful Champion or a Green Power), we begin introducing our bodies to the live enzymes in raw fruits and vegetables. If we are ill in any way, we immediately go to fresh juices every day, and stop eating food completely. We get the IF#1 and #2 going immediately, so we can get that peristaltic action going that Uny just explained so well, and using the IF#2 to start drawing the gunk and garbage out of our large intestines.
We go on a juice fast (or feast, if you think of it in a positive light) first, get the bowels going with the 3 BMS a day of soft, fluffy black poo (hey, we need to know what we're looking for), and then we can introduce the solid raw food. Our bodies have been somewhat prepared to receive the nutrients we are going to benefit from in the live plant vegetation.
Now... here's something a little airy fairy "Californian" for me (learn the vocabulary here lol- "Californian" means out of my spiritual comfort zone, but is also a lighthearted fun tease at my California friends because they have known all this stuff for 30-40 years and li'l ol' Texas gal me is just now beginning to catch up). I found out that GREEN is the color of the heart chakra. We have more heart disease in the US than any other disease, don't we? What do we eat the least in this country? GREEN things.
So get to juicin', y'all! Emphasize vegetable juices, go raw, and make sure some of your drinks are GREEN!
