Also consider that fruit is much less effective in calling on the liver and gallbladder to create and use bile than fats and proteins. If your liver is congested it needs to be encouraged to produce and use bile--to keep toxic bile moving thru and out. Warm food with some good fats / oils/ proteins are best to keep bile moving (and toxins exiting).
Fruits tend to support cellular release of toxins but do little to encourage the liver to create bile and purge toxins. So if you are suffering from toxin overload with a struggling liver, go easy on fruit.
There may be a time and place for a 3 day fruit fast but probably after the liver is purged and revving nicely.
