Re: Feeling Like an Alien
I just wrote a long post about some experiences I had while fasting - then my husband came in and I accidentally lost it. After being frustrated with myself, I realized that maybe I had said way too much, so I'm going to start over from a different angle.
I've been feeling a little too bold lately and I don't want to regret it later. I have found, after years of experience, that I have to be very careful about what I say in public. In order to function in church, in the community, in my family and even in the world of health, I have found that we must remain credible - in other words - if people think you are fanatical, voodooish or crazy, you can no longer be of use as an example or as a teacher. I often think of that line from the DaVinci code - Can you know a thing and never repeat it?
It can be a little frustrating at times because the more I come to experience, know and understand - the smaller the circle becomes of people I can relate to. Since there are alot of people who have gone off the deep end - it also becomes a challenge to sift through all of those people to find the pure seekers of truth.
I agree - the truth will set you free - the trick is to sift truth out from all of the garbage. There are many truths and answers in the Bible, but I think we have to be careful. When Constantine was compiling what would become the Bible, he had some very definate agendas in mind. For instance, he wanted the people confused and naive so they would be easy to control. He did not want the people to be self-sufficient, so anything that would contribute to that, such as teachings on health were omitted. He wanted women to be controlled and owned like cattle, so any teachings about or from the priestesses, prophetesses or healers was left out. If we understand as much as possible about his agenda, it makes it easier to sift truth from error.
It was actually a verse from the Bible which helped me to understand more fully than ever before what my diet needed to consist of. In Genesis 1:29, it reads: "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat."
As my understanding was opened and truth flooded in I could see many things, including:
1) The key is the seed bearing life. We build LIFE WITH LIFE. Todays hybrid fruits and vegetables contain seeds that are sterile. They do not bear life.
2) It goes without saying that anything which is cooked, preserved, manufactured or processed is dead - it does not contain life.
3) If we look to man, we see the food manufacturers, the advertizers, the sellers, the medical fields - all of which are promoting that which will kill us - not give life.
4) This is our meat!
I am in the process of what many would call 'spring cleaning' right now, but what I am really doing in de-junking my life. I want to lift the burdens and be free - free of material bondage, free of debt, free of the traditions of man, free to be all that it is possible to be.
I appreciate your support and understanding, Dr. Mom
