O/T...Food and flu question

Hello,

Earlier I posted about flu here in the valley. I have still after eight days of the stomach flu had some residual sickness. For a few days all I could eat was oranges inspite of floowing detox protocols.
The oranges were a comfort food sort of besides being the only thing I could tolerate.
I tried eating oatmeal. It was yummy for about 10 minutes before I was on the pot with a trash bin infromt of me. That was out oranges were in.
Next time I felt well enough to eat I decided to have some brown rice with coconut oil and I bloated out like I was five month pregnant and felt as thoug I had brought the flu back on.Back to oranges.
Third try I had raosted a turkey breast for hubbies lunches and it smelled so good and I was not hungry and feeling well so had some turkey by itself. Hmmm... stayed in good and felt good. So later made a half of a sandwhich. And again bloated out get sick to my stomach and flet generally quite ill.
I was relating this story at work and was over heard by a customer who said when he went to the doctor about this flu thingy the doc told him to stay away from all grains while he was sick because of the yeast involved.
Didn't give him a reason. When I got thinking about it, everytime ate and got ill, it was a grain or grain product that I had eaten.
So the queston is why would the grains be an issues when the oranges which are acidic comforted and fed me?
Any ideas here?
I am still eating the oranges and today had a couple of hard boiled eggs with no problems.
Ready to be done with this. It has stolen over a week of my life.

Thanks I appreciate your time and input...
