Aspartame

The studies that were pivotal to the approval of Aspartame were the same studies that involved removing and ignoring cancerous tumors. We are learning the hard way that industry-funded testing of pharmaceuticals is also suspect. The British Science Magazine, Nature, recently published a study that found 15% of U.S. researchers admitting to altering their test outcomes to meet the expectations of the companies funding their research.

There are two good documentaries out that show the physical effects of Aspartame on the human body, and also take a close look at other damaging additives like msg. "Sweet Misery" and "Sweet Remedy" are the movies. The woman who is in these movies was diagnosed with MS, was partially paralyzed and had brain tumors, but has completely recovered after giving up Aspartame in all forms.

There is no debate on the neurotoxic effects of aspartame - the problem is with industry-funded studies that purport that it is safe.
