patientadvocate,
with reference to your comment..........
"Do not
Water Fast if you have renal impairment".
I would add: unless supervised by qualified and experienced personnel with the fasting process.
Renal impairment is not always a contraindication to the fast and where the major organs of the body (even the organs of elimination) undergo a rejuvenating and healing process via the constantly renewed and cleansed blood supply which fasting affords, and where if renal impairment exists then the body (in its wisdom) will channel the major work of elimination to the other organs of elimination while this self-repair takes place.
Each case would need to assessed on an individual basis.
"Acute "disease," as Natural Hygiene knows it is simply a struggle of the body to repel or excrete something harmful. Chronic "disease" is that state where the organism no longer has the power to throw off the offending agent, but instead has to coexist. Natural hygienists teach that true health cannot occur until chronic diseases are first returned to acute stages. This ties in perfectly with Dr. Gerson’s observation that he knew a patient was getting well when the liver was strengthened enough to cause inflammation in other parts of the body".
