water retention

I have been suffering from water retention for some months now i am under the renal docs at local hossie, they have said it could have been the tablets that i have been on causing it and salt bot of which i have now stopped the tablets and cut down to reccomended salt intake if not less as i do not like salt anyway. But the retention is still quite bad I have an appointmet in october to see docs again but wondered if anyone could give me any advice. I have suffered from kidney stones in the past too could this be anything to do with it.?
