Yeah # 50932 let me give a personal example to illustrate: If I use salt an immediate rise of a least 25 points in my systolic figure and 8-10 points dia-systolic occurs. Learnt that from BP measurements. I made the decision to eliminate all salt based on BP readings. Is there another/better procedure for testing for salt reactions? Do I need to keep my salt intake up despite my elevated BP. I have made numerous personal decisions based on similar results. Often I am using BP as my only evaluation process. I ask "Is that wise?"
My enquiry is: Sure we can measure BP. Does that ability then imply that we should evaluate many of our actions based on that figure alone? Could I be harming my health outcomes by using BP as my key indicator?
