I don't really know. I've heard a lot of people say that eating cherries takes away gout pain. One relative told me that she had shared a hosptial room with a woman who had bad gout and the woman said that the first thing she planned to do when she got home was to drink a big glass of cranberry juice and eat a bunch of unsweetened cherries, so that she could "get rid of her gout pain." She said that the cherries had to be "unsweetened" for it to work, which made me wonder if makes a difference whether they are pie cherries or not, because why would anyone sweeten bing or raineers? Any how try cherries. Best of luck to you. Gout is a rotten thing to have.
