Fatfluffcat's poem for her daughter today

by Lisa Mckay

Your 18 today where did the time go
It wasn't long ago I took you for strolls

Then you could woddle up to me with hands held high
Asking me to make you fly through the sky

Thats exactly what time has done
I turned around you were able to run

Then came the day for you to go to school
I remember you thought you were so cool

Sleepovers and slumbers there were a many a nights
It was funny watching you and your friends have pillow fights

Float trips and camping they were always a blast
Oh How I wish all those times could have last

Your grown and high school is over for you
Stepping to your future might be scary to do

Today adulthood knocks at your door
There has been many surprises and there will be many more

Enjoy this day for it's special I know
For I knew it was coming as I watched you grow

Have fun and be safe and have a good time
Happy 18th birthday to you beautiful daughter of mine
