Evil House Dream

Does anyone know what it means to dream about a house? I notice that over the last 10 yrs or more. I have been having dreams about a houses. It is not always the same house though.

One dream I think I've had several times. It is about a 2 story house. It sits in a dark and dingy area of town. It has several apartments built into it. I seem to be renting the apartment there. The apartment has a few bedrooms. I don't know why I am the only one living here. And this one bedroom has a section that is covered by a blanket. For some reason I know that this room leads to some scarey evil other side.

Does this house represent me? Does that scarey evil side represent something that happened to me long time ago that I don't want to face?? If it is so, how do I deal with it in a healthy way???
