There may be several thing to destroy superbugs. Just not enough research. Iodine and MMS (chlorine dioxide) have such potential; as they each destroy their targets so cleanly that they are not given the opportunity to mutate and gain resistance. Hydrogen peroxide may do the same. It seems that we daily read how something can "cure" cancer, for example; but there never seems to be follow up. Maybe even colloidal silver could be researched for this function.

When I think of specialized sponges, I'm not thinking of tons of fish or any kind of fish. Sure there are tons of fish; but are there tons of sponges. We are already destroying our oceans. We should not need to go so far as to make yet another species extinct. I'm sure the sponges are there for a reason.

Hopefully, the researchers will find a way to make synthetics that will mimic the action of these particular sponges.
