Samento and CDiff

Hello to all.

I am thinking of trying Samento to deal with Lyme. I have read that Samento is the natural molecule from which Cipro and other fluoroquinolone Antibiotics are synthesized. Years ago, I had a very severe CDiff or Clostridium Difficile infection that was caused by Cipro. It put me in the hospital for two weeks and left me weak for months. I learned then that CDiff is serious, serious stuff. The agonies of Lyme, however, are driving me to try Samento if it will possibly help.

Does anyone here know if Samento can cause CDiff? Does it wipe out intestinal flora in the same way that Cipro does? If so, taking probiotics might not be enough to ward off a CDiff or other infection caused by the Samento.

This is just speculation on my part, I'm wondering if anyone out there might have a more informed or clinical opinion?

Thanks...
