War on Measles

I have been thinking about the new UK multi Million pound push for MMR and the Moral side to it. The Government has declared war on Measles. There is a saying the 1st casualty of war is the Innocent. Is this a war that is expected to take a few casualties? Just like the Government need an Army, the army advertising campaign will highlight your career prospects and not mention you could get shot to pieces. Remember the war on Malaria rid the West of Mosquitoes, but poisoned us in the proccess? Wouldnt it be a safer and better idea from a moral point of view to spend money on researching treatment for people who catch Measles? Tweet
