Children statistically safer overall?
I have been on quite a few forums that people have made me try to feel I am putting my daughters life in danger by not having vaccinations. One medical student was advising not to let my daughter out the house and dont take her to the super market. I think this is ridiculous weighing up the ODDS. Surely my daughter is statistically safer by the very fact I care enough to read up what maybe bad or good for her than people who just go with everything that is marketed towards them. It wasnt so long ago adverts were telling us Bottle milk was better than breast milk. I question almost everything. If its not proved safe, I am not taking a chance. Its not enough just to be unproved and so therefore legal. I eat mostly organic foods out of principle, I filter our water, I buy the baby BPA free bottles (just in case) , I ensured we had the best safety rating when buying a car, I am the one who makes sure we have carbon monoxide alarms and pleaded with my girlfriend to not drink Diet drinks and eat too much Tuna. I also persuaded her to limit her time on her mobile. Very soon I want both of us to go on a 1st aid course. Well you probably get the picture :) To cut a long story short, my belief is that even if
vaccinations turned out to be not dangerous,(which i dont believe due to an ADR i had in 1969) surely a child is at more risk from the type of person who doesnt research and question vaccinations? Overall I would say even if vacccinations were not causing damage, the kids belonging to the type of people on these forums who are refusing vaccines are a lot safer statistically overall. They are more likely to research other potential dangerous things that kill a lot more children in this country. I will never feel I am putting my daughter at risk for thinking the way I do. I am glad I think like I do.
