i don't care about the end of amerikan manufacturing.

I learned a good lesson back in the late 1980's, one I'll never forget. It applies to your question. Loved my college years, dominated every activity I could lay my hands on. When I graduated and saw all my friends and acquaintances, and frat brothers, and sorority sweethearts...I knew right there that things would never be the same again. I cherished the moments. Always been one who knew how to pull the most out of life, never taking anything for granted.

About 2 years later I returned upon suggestion by the fraternity guys to return and rekindle the madness we once created. Some of the same people were there, some of the same women, same hangouts...but it was different. So much so that I was out of place. I didn't belong and felt as such. Only two years removed from a life I once enjoyed with passion and fervor...was over. Never to be duplicated.

Amerikan manufacturing is that return to college two years later and just a good memory. That's what we were, not what we are. We will NEVER make things again. Don't ask me to care about things that will never be, it's a waste of our efforts. I could talk about pre-911 living, but it will never return to those days. We are who we are...consumers only. And consumers don't make things.
