Re: Parasite identification help?
Hello & Welcome.
The picture that you posted of the dried worm is very difficult to identify; identification can sometimes been hard even in their natural state too when they come out of the body. A microscope is helpful in these cases to examine the mouth, head, eggs, etc.
An eyeball identification can be sometimes obvious, such as, pinworms, tapeworms, ascaris, flukes, and maybe strongyloides. Identification would include characteristics of coloring, skin, size, possible movement, and your symptoms are extremely helpful.
Are your worms white or red? In looking at the smaller items, they seem rather interesting. There is one that has caught my eye, because it almost looks like tiny twigs are part of the appendage. There was another poster named Pioneer1 who has shown something similar, I think. She called it a "claw thing". If it is the same thing, I don't know what it is.
