Oh, man, Baldwin is dead on. He is describing almost every single warm body that shares pew space with me in my church at home. He's describing almost every good little Republican I've ever met in my political activism days. Lord Almighty, I am dead serious when I say I know hundred of people just like that. "I'm excited Israel and the Palestinians are fighting because it means Jesus is coming soon." "I'm glad the world leaders are talking about world government and a world economy because it means we Christians are about to be raptured." Are they freakin' serious??? My children's youth pastor is awake and savvy, having been a foreign missionary before taking this position, and there are a few Democrats going there who are aware, but if it wasn't for these guys, I wouldn't be going to church. I do love the people at my church, because I was just like them until I met you guys (aaawwww....).
