Dr. Fuhrman diet update & salt question
So as I said before, perhaps I'd underestimated the progress I'd made so far but I really thought it would be harder to stick to the diet. It's a little hard in terms of finding everything I want in perfect form (i.e. no salt, finding a salad dressing). I've done my best but I haven't had trouble sticking to the choices or trouble with hunger. It's so odd because in the past while eating low nutrient foods, I could swear I could eat this food AND bad foods. But I'm surprisingly satisfied. So it's working out. I'm only 2 days in but I'll update regularly.
Question on Salt. Dr. Fuhrman was against it. Some are for it. He doesn't distinguish between
table salt and
Sea Salt . Any ideas or links/references about salt? I haven't quite made up my mind about salt and whether it's good to eat a lot or not so good. The WaterCure has people taking A LOT of salt but perhaps it works so well because they're not getting minerals from their food. Anyway, really on the fence about the salt debate so since I'm eating a high-nutrient diet, I'm going to stay with as littls salt as I can during the trial then moderate salt for the ongoing eating pattern unless I come to some decision on the salt issue.
Anyone else out there trying a diet or looking for one?
p.s. I also post in the Addicted:
Sugar forum and the Cholesterol forum since Dr. Fuhrman claims this diet cures both.
