Re: Why are Canadians hanging their hopes on this machine?

the problem as far as I can tell with this whole situation is the way the machine has been presented to medical science, and western medicine itself.

Western Medicine operates within the Newtonian paradigm, and has a structure within it that needs to have rational based evidence. The device has not been researched within the structure of western medicine, and therefore does not meet the criteria. Western medicine has its hands tied because its code is also law.

Its alot like construction. Bringing in new building materials or structure styles are often difficult or impossible because they will not meet code, even though they are completely safe and functional. Challenging the code, which is law, often costs a lot of money which people do not have.

Something bugs me though. The inventor is making millions monthly, more than enough cash to perform a study which meets the criteria of western science. I mean if it is curing cancer and other illnesses as it claims, then performing a study which meets the criteria would be easy and be beneficial to the product. However this may not be a possibility. Because the Science the device employs, may not have any credibility within the structure of western medicine.

I know this is true with traditional Chinese medicine. In China there are many healing protocols which are 100% effective in treating illness, but are not employed in western medicine because they are not fully understood. We all know about the herbs and acupuncture TCM employs, but there are many more treatments which we do not because they are not allowed to be practiced in the west. Not only are these 100% effective, they are very cheap in comparison to western medicine. And I am sure this plays a role as well.

From what I saw in the program, the machine read the meridians... and applied impulses to them. Using modern technology in applying TCM could yield very effective results. But I am not sure exactly how the machine operates, so I cannot 100% endorse it.

I did notice that CBC took a very unobjective hard approach on the machine from the beginning, showing the cross dressing inventor... and imaged the treatment technicians as cult followers. They also talked to doctors and one person whose treatment failed. They never talked to anyone who was healed by the machine. As for the electrical engineer... he was an idiot IMO, low impulses of electrical current can stop the heart as was tested in world war II by the NAZIs. I think it was only 50mV needed to stop the heart. 0.5 mV could easily have an effect on the body.

*Note: It depends on the voltage and the amperes... voltage is potential, and amperes is the amount of flow between potentials*
