Acid in throat - can't sleep - any advice? 1st flush

Hello,
It is 2:30 and I awoke and can't go back to sleep due to dreadful acid in my throat. I don't commonly get "acid reflux." I imagine this is like that.

When I lay down flat at 12:00 PM (drank olive oil at 11:00 PM), my whole digestive track was filled with all kinds of vibrations and was making all kinds of amazing noises - burps, grumpbles, gurbles - and I felt this acid and drank 1/2 t. baking soda in water. It seemed to help.

But just now I drank some more and, so far, it hasn't helped.

Is it okay to take some Pepto-bismol in the middle of a liver flush?

Does anyone have other suggestions?

I may try peppermint oil as that has been suggested for nausea. Nausea isn't my problem, but maybe it could help. Somewhere else in the forums, people are saying that chronic acid reflux is a problem of not enough hydration. I wasn't necessarily very well hydrated before beginning this liver flush. And what can I do about it now?

Would drinking a large glass of water now help or would that hurt the flush?

Thank you!

Susan
