Re: Good antifungal for throat area? and what else...
I took nystatin for a month, and saw no improvement with my throat or mouth. I think this was because it was early on in my anti-candida fight.
Now, months later, after a very strick diet, Bee Wilder's at

and better supplements, following the suggestions at
http://candidapage.com/candiet.txt
I have less symptoms, but it isn't gone completely.
My experience is that the 4-pronged approach of strict diet, probiotics, natural candida killers, and strengthing the immune system is much more effective than anything else. Perhaps, when I am stronger and have been on the diet longer, Nystatin would be more effective.
I am considering Candex

or lamisil next. You need regular liver tests if you take this.
"Lamisil (Terbinafine HCL)
This is the newest anti-fungal drug in routine use. It is a systemic drug but is unrelated to the other systemic 'azole' drugs. As a result it is an effective treatment as yeast have not yet had chance to develop resistance to it. Lamisil has become more and more widely used since its introduction a few years ago and is set to become the systemic drug of choice, replacing Diflucan. As with most of the systemic drugs there have been instances of adverse effects on the liver and as with Sporanox, Lamisil has recently been linked with congestive heart failure. Lamisil is marginally more expensive than Diflucan and Sporanox with 30 250mg tablets costing between $200 and $250."
