Several years ago, our family started taking black seed every day. By Allah (Subhaanahu wa ta'aala) as my witness, my husband was eventually cured of chronic bronchitis and allergies. Al hamdu lillah!
Unfortunately, I find many people don’t know about black seed or undermine it’s healing ability. Narrated Abu Hurairah (Radhi-yallaahu 'anhu): I heard Allah’s Messenger (Sal-Allaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) saying, “There is healing in black cumin for all diseases except death.” [Meaning of Sahih al-Bukhaaree, Book of Medicine, Hadeeth No. 5688]
How has black seed helped you? Please share your experiences.

AlHamdulillaah, your husband was cured of his condition.
I have used black seed in the past but not as you mentioned every day for several years. I have used the Sweet Sunnah products of black seed like the tea and honey but it got to be too expensive for me after a while. I now have raw seeds in my cabinet a friend brought back for me, but I really don't know how to use it. Perhaps, you can suggests how I can prepare it. Do I crush it, seep it in tea. How long can I keep it before it goes stale. Any thing you can tell me would be much appreciated. Jazaaki Allaahu kulli khayr.

My wife had third stage cancer whilst we were living in Yemen. Having been out of Britain for a number of years we were informed by the Embassy there that we were no longer entitled to NHS care and would have to pay. Having a very strong dislike for Dar ul Kufr anyway we decided to try seek help in the Muslim word. MaashaAllah a very kind individual helped us, may Allah reward him richly, and we made plans to have treatment in the American Hospital in Dubai.
In the meantime a number of concerned individuals in Sana'a pointed us to a salafi brother from our local masjid, Jam Al Khair. He advised us to take black seed three times daily with local honey and also to take garlic mixed with honey ( before fajr, after Asr and after Isha). The black seed was bought freshly and I crushed it with a pestle to release the oil. I then mixed it with the local honey (as we were told that local honey had medicinal qualities specific to the area). I did the same with the garlic, crushed it and mixed it and administered it. We were rigid with this and maintained it for three months until our appointment came through.
Alhamdulillah, upon examination in Dubai, the doctor announced that there was no trace, NO TRACE of any of the cancer cells, this in spite of the fact that the cancer was confirmed by their hospital and Kings in London.
My wife has undergone a number of check-ups since and still takes the black seed, garlic and honey ( we use KSA honey now as we are residing here) and, Alhamdulillah, there has been no reoccurance.
Please note however that black seed is a cure for what Allah wills and that it should be taken under supervision, under the advice of a trained individual.
To my knowledge and in our time in Yemen there were a number of good Yemani brothers in Shomaila district as well as a brother in DaMaj (Shaik Muqbil's (rahimahullah) camp who were qualified to do such.
Mashaa Allaah!!!That is such great news about your wife.
You can add a touch of black seed when preparing meals (e.g. cooking stew chicken with the ground seeds). However, in our experience, pure black seed oil is the best because it's potent and will last a long time. My husband takes the oil with honey, just a few drops everyday, which is approximately 1/2 - 3/4 of a teaspoon. I personally like the dropper bottle and capsules. We buy from CDN and US entrepreneurs who import from abroad and from a SweetSunnah rep in Toronto. The cheapest price we've got, was for an 8.8 ounce bottle that my husband brought in the States for $20 (we've had it for roughly 9 months!).
I merely presented what was related to me whilst residing in Yemen. There are a few brothers who were priviledged to stay and study in Shaikh Muqbil's camp who could perhaps elaborate more. However what I can say is that the herbalist who advised me, in Yemen, stated that taken in incorrect amounts, it could have an adverse effect. For example, this natural physician said that black seed is hot and should not be taken for fevers as it would most likely complicate matters.
Surely common sense dictates that medicine be given under direction?
Ibn ul Qayyim in his treatise 'Medicine of the Prophet' spoke of numerous ways and means of taking black seed.So it's clearly not restricted to the 'dropper' method!
Maybe I equated “trained individual” with doctor (i.e. family physicians), when you probably didn’t mean that. That could have been a misinterpretation on my part, since you seem to be talking about a naturopathic physician. In addition, I don’t recall anyone restricting the number of ways of taking black seed in this thread. Rather, preferences were stated.
You are correct in the sense that certain precautions must be taken, for example pregnant women can’t take it and certain individuals will have their own unique situation that warrants close supervision.
At any rate, Barak Allahu Feequm akhee for your comments and it’s nice to hear that your wife is better. Maa Shaa Allah!

As-Salaamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullah,
I am Jilbaab's husband, the one who has been cured from chronic bronchitis which I have had since I was a baby and most of my allergies which I have had since I was 14, insha-Allah, from Habbas-Sauda, walillahil-hamd.
I also wanted to add that I also suffered from chronic tendonitis in both knees and elbows. Tendonitis is inflammation of the tendons around ones joints. Another common name for it is tennis elbow. It is quite painful and requires long periods of rest to cure. I started getting tendonitis in my right knee at 14. I also workout, and eventually caught it in both knees, and then both elbows. But ever since I've been taking blackseed, I can't remember having any relapse of tendonitis.
