I just started juicing recently, and I absolutely love it! I was wondering if anyone has any particular juice recipes they would like to share that they find beneficial for giving extended energy/boost for working out or excercising (weights or cardio/running). I used to have protein shakes w/ milk before my workouts, but I recently cut the dairy out of my diet, and I've decided to discontinue the usage of whey protein products as I'd rather consume all-natural foods. Are there any particular fruits or veggies, or combinations of both that are shown to be beneficial for workouts/excercise? I do know that most weight-lifters reccommend the usage of slow-releasing carbs (ie oats) instead of simple Sugar carbs (as from fruit for example) to provide sustained energy for a workout, but does anyone on the contrary find fruit to really help their workouts?
