This has been a cold week. Minus 16 degrees this morning. In our area many years ago, it could drop to minus 20, but very rare. In the past 5 or so years, it rarely got below zero. I plowed a neighbor's drive way out last night that had 5 foor tall drifts across it. IF we tried the same today, odds are it would be so frozen that it would take a tractor to break their drive way open. I have used a tractor at zero degrees before and if you hit something hard, the huge cast iron structor of the tractor can "shatter" into pieces.
My favorite of favorite health authors, stated we humans do best where it never ever gets below 60 degrees and I must agree. I don't like the poisonous snakes/spiders/insects in those warm climits, but the cold climates just don't supply enough natural foods. So we all should become SNOW BIRDS in the winter months!
