Re: Countdown to 2012

Recently, I have been thinking about the Mayan calendar and the many predictions of dramatic change for our near future. A friend has introduced me to the topic of Nibiru - the twelfth planet - whose orbit is predicted to affect Earth catastrophically.
For me, it must come down to facts and science, not psychic prediction or mystics.
I don't doubt that the spiritual-growth/awareness element is there ... but I need facts.
Anarchistic or just deluded - the sacred Shitki living in a teepee may well be an authority on soya beans and snow pea sprouts ...
That's awesome.
But one's deepest spiritual proclivities and most subtle perceptions, those felt but often unspoken ... of the 'other, unseen world' ... ARE subjective and important.
I, too, feel that dramatic geophysical change (and the accompanying social/spiritual transformation) is close.
I read that the 2004 tsunami was caused by an earthquake sufficiently powerful to affect the rotational axis of the Earth. I heard that the Earth actually 'wobbled' on its axis at the time of the tsunami.
Scary.
It could have happened then.

+ I don't see why so many 'spiritual' types here are against preparing for an event such as this. It is not necessarily an act of fear to prepare on the physical level. Actually it is an intelligent act of survival, as is holding faith in oneself.
