finasteride is an anti-androgen, designed to block conversion of testo into of DHT - oxidative aging, that also , in other organs less visible, accompanies balding. Its a piss poor answer to a problem that stems from other causes in the 5-alpha reductase pathway. If those not knowledgeable to figure it out have inferior children, then I'd say that's Darwin in action, good for the long term health of the herd. My words may seem harsh perhaps, but don't forget, Mommy Nature unleashes typhoons, hurricanes and earthquake that have killed millions also.
