I don't mean to change the subject, or detract from your post, but I am a forester and was actually researching and looking at Sequoia trees on the internet today, and the Sequoyah name rang true to me, so I decided to post some pics (even though one picture was taken out of the USA and one is of some Redwoods). And to think that "General Sherman" there at the end is estimated to be roughly 2500 years old. It has seen a lot come and go. If only it could speak...
