not sure whether to be amused or appalled. Borrelia is a microspcopic spirochete bacteria. (hint: microscopic). Even if it were remotely "visible to the naked eye" it would not be the above photo which is hundreds if not thousands of times larger than the b.b. Definitely this IS something infectious, I have seen them myself as have many others but not b.b. bacteria. One hypothesis was that they were Tapeworm larvae. I believe there is a photo of them in MH's "108 pages" that I might be more inclined to believe than B.b... no offense of course.

FYI: macroscopic images that vaguely resemble micropic images aren't necessarily the same.
