Your question: I guess this has to do with older people who lightly bump there hands/arms and get bruises. I realize their skin is thinner and many are on blood thinners but I have also seen some that have stopped their blood thinners and they still bleed like a stuck pig and turn almost black on their arms and hands.

Answer: These folks indeed, but young folks also !
