Hi Refreshed, fancy meeting you here!! I ordered it as an ebook from
http://www.ebooks.com
this morning after watching the reviews. I obviously haven't gotten all the way through, in fact, he has just decided to go to the shack this weekend, where I am.
But, from what I have heard it is completely different from Storm's experience. It is a fictional book where he uses characters that aren't who we have sterotyped into our preconceptions of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to enlighten people in a fictional way to to the Trinity. Did you watch the reviews? On the ebook site they have a new deal where you can access it from any computer, blackberry or anything that accesses the net as well as downloading it onto your main computer. Usually, I prefer books, but, you and I were just talking about the Trinity and after praying, I hear about this book, so I didn't wait to go to the store.
I saw a preacher (in those videos) who tried to talk against it, as an heresy. I used to be almost like that, I really hate to say. He wrote this book in the freedom of the Spirit of the Law, not by the letter of the law.
The Shack is a metaphor for the place we've built to meet our pain.
So far it is great.
