Let me explain my opinion,

We all have an oversoul and that defines certain areas and experiences we are here to have.

They appear to me as a group not an individual (for all I know it could be my own past lives in group form) back to the point

so my oversoul communicates through a channel but it is specifically attached to me and my calling etc
