Re: Some Thoughts - Autoimmune
>Lol,,, Hveragerthi you really hate alkaline water!
Yep, I think someone would have to be a total fool to drink the crap.
>I bought the machine and have been drinking it for over a month.. I'm better than >ever.
How do you know you are better than ever? I can take ibuprofen for
Arthritis and it will make me feel better. But it will still cause my body harm and even aggravate the
Arthritis in the long run. How do you know what problems you will have from the water in the long run?
>I'm still waiting for my heart to stop beating like you were saying b4..
Don't imply I said things I never said, it really decreases your credibility.
>candida is the aternative medicine scape goat.. it gets the blame for everything, >kinda misleading
I agree to a point. Candida is definitely blamed for a lot more problems than it really causes. On the other hand it is a REAL condition. For example, what do you think thrush is? And it is a common problem I have seen numerous times, especially in cancer patients.
>As for the autoimmune thing, you have to wonder what’s causing the immune problem.
Most autoimmune disorders have been linked to some microbe, mainly viruses and bacteria. Though it is still the adrenal dysfunction that leads to the overproduction of low affinity antibodies.
>The fact is its probably linked to the digestive system or something..
And if you really believed this then why would you deliberately screw up your digestion with alkaline waters? The caustic hydroxides in the water will neutralize the stomach acid even further than it has already declined with age. And the
Alkaline Waters will inhibit the absorption of most of the nutrients needed to form the stomach acid as these are acid dependent for absorption. So if you feel proper digestion is that important then drinking
Alkaline Waters is really counter productive!!!
>If my immune system was seriously messed up I'd get sick very often but thats not >the case. Don't forget that the bodys many systems are all linked and if one >doesn't work properly it will effect other parts.
What you are overlooking is the fact that the immune system is comprised of MANY things. Various white blood cells, various cytokines, peroxides, beneficial bacteria, acids (HCl, acetic, lactic), antibodies, SOD, etc. Just because one part of the immune system is suppressed this does not mean that the person is going to get everything they are exposed to. Maybe this will make more sense. A relatively healthy person is going to react a lot different to let's say the influenza virus than a person with AIDS, on immune suppressants, or born without an immune system. Why? Because the immune system is not a singular thing. The body has redundancies in the immune system in case one area fails or is suppressed. The failure or suppression of one part of the immune system can still cause adverse effects though, such as autoimmunity.
>So if the problem is autoimmune how do you explain all the TCM articles that link >digestive problems to EC, how do you explain someone curing themselves with Liver >Flushes ?
Oh gee, there are articles in TCM journals? I guess that means it must be true!!! LOL!!!
As far as the
Liver Flushes the are a joke. The so called "stones" are nothing more than saponified olive oil. On the other hand have you considered the fact that maybe the essential fatty acids from the oil used in the "flushes" may be helping, especially since they are anti-inflammatory and is an inflammatory condition? Have you ever researched how many skin conditions are treated with essential fatty acids?
