Anybody heard of "junk foot" as side effect of angioplasty?

Our neighbor had angioplasty several months ago and now has "junk foot." I have never heard of it before and I used to work on a cardiac floor recovering heart caths. He supposedly has gangrene on several places and we are being told it is a side effect of the angioplasty. He is also diabetic.

He does not trust the medical profession and will not see anyone regarding this. The doctor told him originally that this was just the dye settling in his foot and will eventually work its way out. After this many months? Yeah - right! Not!
