Re: A Bible Study for those with questions
I agree that we must have unconditional love. There is a very important point that must be brought out and that is that the purpose of a man and a woman is not defined by a man or woman but by God the creator. Since we are in the process of growth and are not perfect we also do not have a perfect understanding of purpose. Why did God create a man and a woman as opposed to only a woman or only a man, and why God allowed us to have children. If we look closely at nature there is a definite order of positive and negative with the result of a product like electricity, man and woman represent two aspects of being and are the mirror image of God in unity, man and woman were meant to reflect God so the purpose is not for a man and a man to be intimate, the intimate organs reflect that. So if we are outside of the purpose of creation we do not reflect the image of God we reflect a bi-product of the fall of man or the sin which was created by Adam and Eve, this is why it is such a difficult thing to overcome, it is like being born with the DNA to become a diabetic, the DNA is not correct so it has to be fixed. It goes against the will and purpose of creation and is fallen nature and not the original nature which God endowed us with. One should not be hated for this but Christians are not always able to explain these things because we really have to know who God is and many don't. The understanding of God is a very vague concept for many. Some people don't care about these things but we should remember that our sin is not only our own sin it is also a collective sin for which whole nations have been judged, the bible does say that the sins of the parents will fall unto the third and fourth generation, people say they don't believe in God because of all the suffering but that is because of man's responsibility and failures not Gods, even though Abraham was pardoned by God, his descendants still had to pay for the mistake and they did for 400 years. What we do affects everything in life including the people we love, the whole country.there is collective sin and family sin, and individual sin.We should study biblical history, it may seem like God intervened in the Bible but many don't see that now, we like to ignore it, God is wise, in the old testament when man was at a low spiritual level God had to relate to him where he was, we have grown some and we are now more responsible for our own growth so we reap the fruit of whatever we do as nations and as people. We trust too much in the fallen ideas of man, what we are going through now is only a reflection of the imperfections of a fallen thinking world. So countries riddled with homosexuality eventually becomes collectively responsible for the sins of its people. We should not hate but educate as much as possible. We were given free will to grow not to be centered on the self only, free will as it is seen now is not the correct concept and unconditional love sometimes requires that we be given a time out so God has to chastise us not hate us, since many Christians are not perfect they should remember that true love is necessary in order for man to grow and we should refrain from dishing out hatred because all of us are in the growing stage and are not perfect.
