Re: Emphysema worsened by Prostate Cancer Drug?

I hope you are well. I see that your post is from 2006 and it is now December 2008. I just spent Christmas with my father whose breathing was so labored that I was compelled to see if I could find an answer. He was diagnosed with Emphysema a few years ago, recently was treated for Prostate cancer, and is more or less suddenly having extreme breathlessness.

He is in his 80's, smoked for 50 of those years, and I know he is not well. But I am so troubled to see him suffer like this, and wonder if the fairly sudden onset of such difficulty in getting breath is being caused by something beyond the progression of the disease. If you ever got any replies I was unable to find the thread, but the subject title of your post caught my attention and so I was hoping to read what was written on the subject.

Does anyone know more about this?
