If you get on a blog site with communities, you can gain a wealth of information by reading directly the writings of those who are diagnosed or aspire to eating disorders. I've read hundreds of entries from Livejournal and other sites and after a while a picture forms of common traits. Research on eating disorders gives some listing of common traits in a calculated, vague way; reading "case studies" or personal accounts gives a much clearer picture of what it is like. Tweet
