IP-6 along with lipoic acid for brain mercury?

What do you guys think about the use of lipoic acid and inositol ala Andy Cutler protocol as a way to chelate mercury? Basically substituting the DMSA with IP-6.

I have 2 bottles of DMSA in 25mg caps in possession and have had them for a couple months now, but been hesitant to start taking them. I'm not sure why... Perhaps I'm afraid it may be too effective in moving the mercury and do more damage than good.

I've done a round of IP-6 and siliphos(milk thistle extract)for about a month with apparent improvement in bile flow/production, though I cannot say if the effects are from the Inositol or the Siliphos. Probably both. After finishing the IP-6 I've been applying Moreless' methods to alkalize and remineralize before starting on DMSA. Now I'm not so sure if I want to precede chelating with the DMSA.

Anyways..., It's been about 5 months now since my last Amalgam was removed and the only thing I've done specifically to chelate mercury was the IP-6. I'm sure the Lugol's I took also helped somewhat in the "getting rid of mercury" department. I can't say that I feel much better than I did before Amalgam removal. It's been up and down the whole time. As of now, I feel I need to start chelating the mercury a bit more aggressively to see any real improvement, yet I feel I may not be ready for something as strong as DMSA. According to Andy Hall's writings I'm past the wait time (3 months) suggested by him before starting ALA, though I haven't taken any DMSA at all. Assuming that the ALA is gentler on the body than DMSA, ALA coupled with IP-6 should effectively chelate mercury without the ill effects of taking synthetic chemicals.

What do you guys think? Or should I bite the bullet and start on the DMSA. Or is it required that I be on DMSA for a 3 month span before starting on ALA? What about RLA?
