My 7 years old Son forcefully shuts down his eyes frequently

Dear Doctor, Since last week I observed a problem with my seven years old son that, he constantly closes his eyes down with an extra force. What he says that, the reason is due to itching. He also says, sometimes it hurts him slightly. Not both eyes together. When I contact a knowledgable man, he was saying that it is not eye related problem, you need to show him a Neurological Specialist. Kindly therefore advice to enable me to take further step urgently.
