Yes I think I know (had) this problem or something similar and in fact I started getting some awful pain in the neck/shoulder area which lasted for quite sometime.
I´ve recently started doing a mix of Yoga and Pilates and this seems to help the pain, which is not permanently there, like it used to be. The days I felt no pain in the neck/shoulder area, had some pain in the knees and thighs directly above the knees tho. and I was not too happy about the "exchange". The good thing tho is that "something" is changing and guess if I keep at it, am hoping the overall situation with improve.
