Presence of angels.....................

Your post is timely for me. My great granddaughter (Makalah, aged 6) has been home from school this week with a cold. Yesterday she asked me if there really were angels all around her. The conversation went something like this:

Her: Paw Paw, are there really angels all around me?

Me: Most definitely they are here.

Her: Why can I not see them?

Me: Can you see the wind? No. But you can see what it does. Can you see electricity? No but you can see what it does. Do you ever have something good to happen to you and not have any idea how it happened.

Her: Yes.

Me: A lot of that is the angels looking after you, even if you cannot see them. Just believe they are there and thank them for the good things.

Hopefully that will sink in and help her along.

My background is construction. A good friend of mine is a minister/ school teacher. I have gotten him a job working with me a few times during the summer when school was closed. I have seen him get an injury and be bleeding and hurting. He would always say "Thank you Lord". When I asked his reason for the thanks, he replied that the bible says to "Give ye thanks for everything". It did not say just for the good things. Not bad advice, regardless of who one sees God or Allah as being.
