Is love the ultimate healer? = Healing Cancer with Love
Love the Healer, the
Way & the Destination
Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor... Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your
eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting.
Mother Teresa
Is love the ultimate healer?
I believe love - both for others and oneself - to be the most important thing in life, and maybe one of the crucial healing factors as well. In fact, I believe that learning to love and seeking knowledge are the two primary goals of our existence in this three-dimensional reality. If I were asked to list my favourite “alternative cancer treatments”, love would certainly count among them. I believe it may be an essential attitude & quality to develop and cultivate to further a person’s healing of cancer, peace of mind and spiritual progress.

Love is the X-factor in healing!
Paul Solomon
If you are looking for a miracle cure, here it is: "Choose to love at every moment: forgive everyone, everything." This magic cure will speed you through whatever lessons you have to learn. When you have learned your lessons, the clouds of illness hanging over you will magically part - with one important exception. That is where death has been deemed as the ONLY way for you to learn. Yet we are all creators here so anything is possible.
Ellen A Mogensen, Past & Now Forward Holistic Counseling
If there is a panacea or cure-all to life, it is self-love.
Paul Solomon
Don't forget to love yourself.
Soren Kierkegaard
There is always a harmonious solution... If you stand back and give yourself time to find it.
David Robertson
I have collected 57 extremely well documented so-called cancer miracles. A cancer miracle is when a person didn't die when they absolutely, positively were supposed to. At a certain particular moment in time they decided that the anger and the depression were probably not the best way to go, since they had such a little bit of time left, and so they went from that to being loving, caring, no longer angry, no longer depressed, and able to talk to the people they loved. These 57 people had the same pattern. They gave up, totally, their anger, and they gave up, totally, their depression, by specifically a decision to do so. And at that point the tumors started to shrink.
Dr. Bernie Siegel
Love is the face and body of the Universe. It is the connective tissue of the universe, the stuff of which we are made. Love is the experience of being whole and connected to Universal Divinity. All suffering is caused by the illusion of separateness, which generates fear and self-hatred, which eventually causes illness. You are the master of your life. You can do much more than you thought you could, including cure yourself of a ”terminal illness”.
Barbara Brennan, former NASA scientist and atmospheric physicist in ”Hands of Light: A Guide to Healing Through the Human Energy Field”

It makes no difference how deeply seated may the trouble, how hopeless the outlook, how muddled the tangle, how great the mistake. A sufficient realization of love, will dissolve it all.
Emmet Fox
Kindness is more important than wisdom, and the recognition of this is the beginning of wisdom.
Theodore Isaac Rubin
Kindness is the noblest weapon to conquer with.
American Proverb
The first duty of love is to listen.
Paul Tillich
With the gift of listening comes the gift of healing.
Catherine de Hueck Doherty
To love oneself is the beginning of a life-long romance.
Oscar Wilde
Love looks through a telescope; envy, through a microscope.
Josh Billings, humorist
Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding. Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain.
Kahlil Gibran
Tenderness and kindness are not signs of weakness and despair but manifestations of strength and resolution.
Kahlil Gibran
Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless
Mother Teresa
Love is the beauty of the soul.
St. Augustine
He who has a thousand friends has not a friend to spare, And he who has one enemy will meet him everywhere.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
A coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the prerogative of the brave.
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (1869-1948), Indian political and spiritual leader
To forgive is not to forget. The merit lies in loving in spite of the vivid knowledge that the one that must be loved is not a friend.

Beliefs separate. Loving thoughts unite.
Paul Ferrini
When the power of Love overcomes the love of power,
the world will know Peace.
Jimi Hendrix
Love, and all doors will open up to you. So stop asking yourself why you are unhappy, why you suffer so many setbacks, and so on. The reason is simply that you have no love. If you had love, nothing would resist you, because when you have love you do not stay there doing nothing. Someone will say: - "I'm ill."
- "Well, exactly, it's because you have no love."
- "But what is the connection?"
- "If you had love for health, good health would have established itself in you long ago. If you are ill, it's because you do not really love health. So there you have it."
Once you have love for all that is good, for all that is beautiful, and you live with this love day and night, no force in the universe will be able to resist you. Because there is nothing above love. Love has created the world and all forces obey love.

Let everything you do be done in love.
1 Corinthians 1614
Gather yourselves...All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner.
Hopi Elders 2001
Beginning today, make the decision to love and accept yourself just the way you are. Say your name followed by the words "I love you" and make this your daily mantra, repeating it often, especially during times of stress. Let it be your first thought upon arising and the last you think before falling asleep at night. This simple act of self-courtship can profoundly change your world. Try it for yourself and see. Make a personal decision to be in love with the most beautiful, exciting, worthy person ever - you.
Wayne Dyer in his book Staying on the Path
Hatred ever kills, love never dies; such is the vast difference between the two. What is obtained by love is retained for all time. What is obtained by hatred proves a burden in reality for it increases hatred.
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (1869-1948), Indian political and spiritual leader
Perhaps this sounds very simple, but simple things are always the most difficult. In actual life it requires the greatest discipline to be simple, and the acceptance of oneself is the essence of the moral problem and the epitome of a whole outlook upon life. That I feed the hungry, that I forgive an insult, that I love my enemy in the name of Christ – these are undoubtedly great virtues. What I do unto the least of my brethren, that I do unto Christ. But what if [I] should discover that the least amongst them all, the poorest of all the beggars, the most impudent of all the offenders, the very enemy himself – that these are within me, and that I myself stand in need of the alms of my own kindness – that I myself am the enemy who must be loved – what then?
Carl Jung, CW11, Psychotherapists or the Clergy, paragraph 520,

Non-cooperation with evil is a sacred duty.
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (1869-1948), Indian political and spiritual leader
Let him not be angry with the angry man; being harshly addressed, let him speak softly.
Manu Smriti
Let not any man do unto another any act that he wisheth not done to himself by others, knowing it to be painful to himself. And let him also fashion for another all that he wisheth for himself.
Mahabharata, Shanti Parva
Strength might be vanquished by forgiveness, weakness might be vanquished by forgiveness; there is nothing which forgiveness cannot accomplish; therefore forgiveness is truly the strongest.
Mahabharata, Vana Parva
He, who is not angry with the angry, is a physician unto both. He saveth himself as well as the others from great danger.
Mahabharata, Vana Parva
If man attempts to do me wrong I will return to him the protection of my ungrudging love; the more evil comes from him the more good shall go from me.
Buddhist Sutras
Hatred ceaseth not by hatred at any time; hatred ceaseth by love; this is an old rule.
Buddhist Dhamma-pada
Let a man overcome anger by love, evil by good; let him overcome the greedy by liberality, the liar by truth.
Buddhist Dhamma-pada
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth. [Love] always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves.
1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 (NIV)
I’d just like to point out to you
That the important thing is
Not to think much but to love much.
Therefore do that which
Inspires most love in you.
Teresa von Avila, translated by Healing Cancer Naturally

Please don’t let any of the above observations such as that offered by Dr. Bernie Siegel make you feel depressed assuming you must be a less loving (and therefore lovable) person than others if you have developed cancer. A look around you will likely quickly convince you otherwise! What Dr. Bernie Siegel does point to - as others have done - is the major role that cultivating a loving attitude can play in healing from disease, including cancer.
