Re: Day 4 - who else is fasting?

I am doing well Rooth,

Each day is better then the next. I do have some discomforts, as my body detoxs at a deeper level. I have a couple blemished that have sprouted on my back and one that formed on my face, that I wasn't too happy about.

I have been drinking about 20 ozs of water day, sometime a bit more or a bit less, depending on how my body feels. The more ketones my body is producing, the more water I drink to help flush out my kidneys and liver. I read some where that to try to drink 8 oz or something every 45 minutes to flush your body, but I don't have to do that, but I try to remember to give my body plenty of water as it needs it.

This fast has been fairly easy on me this time, I believe it is because I have been eating and taking care of my body better then I have in the past, after my fasts. I don't take medication unless I really really have to when I am sick, because remains of any medication I take, sits in my cells and in somewhere in my body and is never fully expelled as it should be. So because I am more careful about what I allow enter my body, this fast is a bit more bearable then it had been in the past.

My sense of smell is great. I smell things that I never thought I could. Perfum, oil burning from cars, my cat litter box. I can even tell sometimes what my bosses had for lunch even though they didn't eat in the office. Walking in the grocery store is a feast in itself.

I have lost a bit of weight and I have tried to exercise a bit by toning the globs of fat that been sitting at my mid section since college. (Poor eating for 3 years made a mark on me). My clothes are fiting a bit better and loser then they have been. I have noticed that my skin is very soft and clear, as well as my eyes. I am certain, as it has happened during my other fast, my hair will become more shiny and no so fly way as it has been in the past. My cheeks have hollowed out a bit,and a person can see my Indian heritage through my high cheek bones.

I think I will start the refeeding process sometime next week. I know that someone will try to get me to eat something at Christmas, so I might has be very selective about it and make sure I am able to eat a bit of something, even if it is just melon or juice.
