Soil for Wheatgrass , mold and plant reflector

Hello Dear companions in Wheatgrass growing, juincing knowledge,

I've been growing and juicing wheatgrass for about three years.

First I grew in kitchen and in rooms on windows. I had a lot of problems with mold.
In automn 2007 I started to grew on balcony in plates with special protection for winter weather ( for colder weather : temperarutures under 5oC ).

But this way I can expect mold.

What do you think to use UV light source that would shine on top of the plates in closer place. Would that preserve green plants and destroy mold on soil?

I would use those lights that are used for indooer gardening or indoor flowers and plants.
