Re: Lactose intolerance

The original topic was lactose intolerance. Regardless of how one gets the lactose allergy, we shouldn't be in a hurry to get rid of it or other allergies. Allergies are evolutionary traits that protect people from environmental toxins. A Cornell University study published this month found that people with greater incidence of allergies had fewer cancers and that that allergies probably exist for a functional reason. The study suggests "that the benefits of the allergies may be worth the symptoms and should not be suppressed." Search Google for cancer and allergies to pull up the article.
